LEAP understands the importance of students cultivating their leadership skills to prepare them for the next phases of life. Therefore, we offer programs that promote skill development in the following areas: Career & Self-Development, Communication, Leadership, Professionalism, Teamwork, and Digital Technology.

Kamari Lassiter Partners with The LEAP Initiative

Hailing from the southern end of the United States by way of Savannah, Georgia, Kamari Lassiter is our most veteran TMHAA student-athlete involved in our LEAP Initiative Program. As a naturally gifted and underrated starting cornerback for the University of Georgia, our time with Kamari has been extremely memorable, positive, and exciting. He is truly a DGD and a versatile defensive locksmith.

As he prepares for the next phase in his life by entering into the 2024 NFL Draft, we couldn’t be more excited to see what the future holds for him and his great family! We will be engaged with Kamari every step of the way.

Miles Simon partners with The LEAP Initiative

Miles Simon

[Athens, Georgia, 12.12.23]

“Boosting an already impressive roster, the University of Georgia men's swimming and diving team announced the addition of graduate transfer Miles Simon. Simon, an Atlanta native, comes to Athens with an impressive resume following a four-year career at Howard University. Led by his outstanding performance, the Bison won their first Northeast Conference championship this season, the program's first conference title in 34 years.

Simon was named the Most Outstanding Swimmer of the 2023 meet as he won gold medals in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 100 IM, and 400 freestyle relay, breaking seven conference records. Simon also made program history in 2021 as he became only the second Howard swimmer to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials.

“As a leader on the defensive side of The University of Georgia football team, Warren is no stranger to getting his hands dirty. It’s something we love most about him, as we begin to showcase his off-the-field talent and presence this year.

A native of Savannah, Georgia, Warren Brinson is connected to giving back. With community impact already on his mind, we look forward to bringing him projects, events, and people within our network.

Gibson Macrae Partners with The LEAP Initiative

“The North Carolina native, Gibson Macrae attended Pinecrest High School, NC.
He was a Three-year starter on defense, team captain, selected first team all-state and the conference defensive player of the year. As a junior for the Heels, we couldn’t be more excited to have him onboard.

“Having Gibs join this project means a lot to me. I have been friends with the Macrae’s for almost 25 years now. With him traveling a similar path as mine, I couldn’t be more proud of him and the strides he has made battling for playing time and overcoming mental blocks. Judge Collier Partners with The LEAP Initiative

JUDGE “JC” COLLIER

“The South Carolina native, Judge “JC” Collier committed to USC in the summer of 2022. He early enrolled at The University of South Carolina in the Winter of 2023. After a solid freshman campaign, we are excited to get some real off-season time with  JC. The Legion Collegiate Academy Sophomore defensive back showcases a lot of raw talent and upside.”

CJ Madden Partners with The LEAP Initiative

“The Redshirt Sophomore from Ellenwood, Georgia has relocated to Northern Indiana. Looking to secure a starting position heading into the 2024 football season, CJ is excited about the idea of partnering with a team of former Georgia Bulldogs in Tra Battle, Chris Burgett, and with Hall of Fame defensive back Champ Bailey. The 6’4 230 lb. Outside linebacker is heading into a new territory with a fresh new start.”

Aidan Banfield Partners with The LEAP Initiative

“The Hoschton, Georgia native recently visited Chapel Hill and selected North Carolina over the likes of Duke, NC State, Virginia, and Wake Forest. He received an offer from the Tar Heels in January and became the eighth commitment for Mack Brown and company in the junior class.  Banfield, a 6-foot-3 guard, attends Mill Creek High School and also serves as the backup center.”
